Kate Hoefler joined Ohlinger as a project manager in May 2016. While she enjoys working in all disciplines, she predominantly assists in the production and development of titles in English. She holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Michigan, where she studied as a Colby Fellow, and a BA in English and Creative Writing from Ohio University. She has taught courses in composition, creative writing (fiction and poetry), and writing-affiliate courses linked with history and mass media. Before joining Ohlinger, Kate worked for Muskingum University’s Roberta A Smith library as the head of circulation.
In addition to being a project manager at Ohlinger, Kate works as a children’s book author. She is the author of Real Cowboys (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) and Great Big Things (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). Her third book, Rabbit & the Motorbike (Chronicle Books) should appear on shelves fall of 2019.
She makes her home with two children, an old cat, and young dog, who encourage her to take breaks from making books in order to feed them.
